Story
I think there is a difference between being charitable and giving someone something for free.
We had a few different charities to choose from and I like the Bike4Life initiative because it makes efforts to help those in need by giving tools which makes the likes of getting to school and work much easier.
Sounds like a bit of an outside of the box initiative to get behind but if you think for a moment about how empowering mobiliastion is - you can quickly recognise some of the doors simple transport can offer someone. Imagine being in rural Australia and having the option between a two hour walk or a 20 minute bike ride each way every day - as a simple example.

Bikes 4 Life
Bikes 4 Life is a not for profit organisation that alleviates poverty and social injustice in Australia and overseas by recycling and restoring discarded bikes. With the simple gift of a bicycle, families can enhance their standard of living dramatically, especially those in marginalised impoverished communities.
Our work has transformed the lives of many families by widening employment opportunities, gaining easier access to remote sources of food and water and ensuring that children are able to regularly attend schools.
It is the mission of Bikes 4 Life to replace the cycle of poverty with a cycle of hope.
